Welcome! I'm Erica MacDonald, a contemporary nature-inspired painter based in Tennessee, who creates fine art originals and patterns for interiors.

My work is driven by texture, color, and contrast. It explores nature and a lifelong fascination with quilting, textiles, and patterns. My style is influenced by the natural beauty of my home state and the vibrant creative cultures of Louisiana and Texas.

Ultimately, my art is about capturing the restorative energy of nature. Whether through an original painting or a nature-inspired wallpaper, my goal is to help you cultivate a space of peace and tranquility by bringing the outside in.

My creative process begins in the field, using photography to capture the light and geometry of the landscape. Back in the studio, I use watercolor, gouache, inks, and acrylics to create my paintings. This hand-painted approach extends to my textile & wallpaper designs, where I blend traditional techniques with digital illustration to create my pattern collections.
